We’re hiring — come and be our Programme Manager

Doteveryone’s a small organisation with a big mission — we champion responsible technology for a fairer future.

We do this by researching the impact of technology, designing and prototyping what responsible technology could look like, and building communities to improve the way technology shapes our world.

And we need a new Programme Manager to help us.

Job opening: Programme Manager, Digital Society at Doteveryone

What does it involve?

As Programme Manager you’ll be delivering work which helps Doteveryone to shape the key debates around technology and society.

The immediate priority is to deliver two of our projects looking at the impact of technology on society.

Better Care Systems is a project that investigates the ways automation will affect care and the opportunities to shape the future. It will focus on how new technologies may disrupt low-status, low-pay (or unpaid) jobs and examine the potential for inequalities to be reduced or even overturned.

Our Digital Public Health work explores how to meaningfully involve people in directing the impacts of technology on their lives and society. We want to determine the best way to do this — whether it’s through public education and awareness building or via activism and movement building — and then build a coalition that can deliver that change.

This is a fast moving and rewarding job working on one of the most pressing issues of the day.

What do I need to be able to do?

The programme manager will need to be able to hit the ground running.

We’re looking for someone who’s self-starting, collaborative and organised. And you’ll need proven experience of hands-on research and great communication skills.

You’ll need to be able to:

  • Commission creative outputs that may include short films, digital prototypes and campaign materials.
  • Write up progress as accessible blog posts. Write longer research reports including evidence and data components, for a range of audiences.
  • Identify potential partners, set up meetings, and discuss and develop emerging ideas and partnership proposals.

We’re based in London and we’re looking for someone to work 4–5 days a week and are happy to discuss flexible working patterns. You might have to travel to events and meetings outside office hours.

We’re looking for someone to start as soon as possible on a six month contract with a salary of between £40–50,000 per annum.

What’s Doteveryone like?

We’re a small team of around a dozen people that come from a variety of backgrounds — design, research, policy and technology.

We work at speed, testing our ideas as we go. We’re friendly, hardworking and supportive and always open to new ideas.

Take a look at our team to find out who you’d be working with and feel free to get in touch if you’d like to talk through this role — [email protected]

We’re really looking forward to welcoming a new person on board. Come and join us!
