Doteveryone — a registered charity — is looking for three new Trustees

Technology is a powerful force for social change.

At Doteveryone, we believe that change can and should be better for more people, more of the time, and that disruptive technology should be held to account.

We’re looking for three new Trustees to support and shape our growth as we champion a stronger society where responsible technology is the new normal.

Specifically, we’re looking for Trustees with the following specialisms:

💰Charitable fundraising

🗣️ Marketing and communications

💻 Technology leadership

What does the role involve?

  • You will help ensure that the charity is well-run, solvent, operates within the law, and makes the best possible strategic decisions.
  • You will ensure that Doteveryone pursues its stated objects as defined in its constitution, through giving strategic direction to the organisation, setting overall policy, defining goals, setting targets and evaluating performance against agreed targets;
  • You will be an ambassador for the vision and work of Doteveryone, on occasion representing the organisation in external meetings.
  • Protect and manage the assets of Doteveryone and ensure the proper investment of the charity’s funds, and ensure financial stability.

Time Commitment:

The Board of Trustees meets at least 4 times a year. We would also like appointees to be able to attend 2–4 additional meetings with funders or corporate prospects in a year. Trustees may also be asked to sit on short term working groups, and to attend some events organised by Doteveryone, or other events on Doteveryone’s behalf.

Location:

Board meetings are held at the organisation’s premises at Somerset House, Aldwych, London. Reasonable travel expenses will be reimbursed.

Deadline:

Please apply by Monday 24th June 2019

Benefits:

This role is not paid, but reasonable expenses will be reimbursed.

As a Trustee of Doteveryone, you will get to work with a determined and pro-active board, chaired by Baroness Martha Lane-Fox. You will help shape the work of a growing and developing charity working on highly topical issues of responsible technology, influencing government, businesses and charities.
